More Than a Match, A Mirror
There was no plan to understand a nation through cricket — yet Rawalpindi Stadium demanded attention beyond the scoreboard. As first-time spectators in Pakistan, we entered expecting noise, but what we found was devotion.
Cricket here is not entertainment alone. It is memory, identity, and faith stitched into chants and green jerseys. Sitting among strangers who felt instantly familiar, the heart questioned itself: Am I witnessing a game, or a collective prayer?
Some deny the existence of God in the name of reason.
Yet no heart here felt accidental.
Every cheer carried history. Every silence carried hope. The atmosphere was overwhelming — not because of volume, but because of belief. In that moment, pride felt irrelevant. What mattered was presence.
This experience changed how we see Pakistan, and perhaps how we see ourselves. Travel does that when it is honest. It strips away assumptions and replaces them with humility.
If these words teach nothing, they are indeed clueless.
But if they remind us that nations reveal themselves through passion — then this moment was worth writing.
